Following CDW’s letter to the Senate urging they reject the policies in Senator Hawley’s misguided legislative framework altering labor and employment law, Senator Hawley’s spokesperson derided the concerns raised by the hundreds of small businesses represented on the letter and claimed the groups who signed on were “pro-Amazon” groups.

“CDW strongly urges Senator Hawley to consider the wider implications of his legislative framework, rather than just focus on his clear animosity toward one specific employer. This is not a coalition of pro-Amazon groups. Organizations concerned with this framework include small businesses, bakers, millworkers, food distributors, electrical contractors, franchisees, and construction companies. These comments misrepresent the legitimate interests of these small employers across the country.”
