CDW Applauds Advancement of NLRB Nominees to Full Senate, Urges Quick Confirmation
On July 15, the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee advanced two nominees to serve on the National Labor Relations Board – James Macy and David Prouty. CDW and 27 employer organizations sent a letter to the Committee urging their quick confirmation in order to maintain the Board’s quorum and ensure the Board can continue to serve the American workforce and regulated community.
The following can be attributed to CDW Chair Kristen Swearingen:
“The NLRB is currently facing an historic case backlog, leaving workers and employers in legal limbo. While the Board is diligently working to reduce that logjam, it is set to lose its quorum in August. We applaud the Committee for recognizing this urgent problem and quickly advancing President Trump’s nominees — both of whom are qualified for the roles — to ensure the Board maintains its quorum and can continue to process cases. It is now imperative that the Senate move quickly to confirm these nominees. Delays will only harm the workers and employers who rely on the Board for guidance and clarity.”
