CDW Urges Senate to Quickly Confirm NLRB Nominees to Maintain Quorum

On June 23, the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace and 26 organizations sent a letter to the Senate HELP Committee urging they quickly confirm President Trump’s nominees to the National Labor Relations Board in order to ensure the Board can maintain its quorum and continue to function fully for the American workforce and regulated community and tackle the historic backlog of cases pending before the agency.

The following can be attributed to CDW Chair Kristen Swearingen:

“The NLRB is currently facing an historic case backlog, leaving workers and employers in legal limbo. While the Board is diligently working to reduce that logjam, it is currently set to lose its quorum in August. We therefore urge the Committee to quickly advance President Trump’s nominees — both of whom are qualified for the roles — to ensure the Board maintains its quorum and can continue to process cases. Delays will only harm the workers and employers who rely on the Board for guidance and clarity.”
