CDW Submits Comments in Support of DOL’s Joint Employer Proposed Rule
On June 22, the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace, US Chamber of Commerce, and several other employer organizations filed comments on the Department of Labor’s joint employer proposed rule. The comments urge the Department to adopt the Proposed Rule with some minor modifications that aim to enhance predictability and stability of the Rule’s application.
The following statement can be attributed to CDW Chair Kristen Swearingen:
“The Department of Labor’s joint employer proposed rule is both appropriate and practicable. It ensures the appropriate entities are held responsible for their actions against their workers while protecting businesses from unwarranted liability. CDW supports the proposed rule and urges DOL to finalize the rule as quickly as possible to give the regulated community the predictability and clarity it needs to thrive.”
