Employers Laud Markup of Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act
CDW Asks Legislators to Pass Critical Jobs Bill
WASHINGTON, D.C. // July 20, 2011 // Today, the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace thanked legislators in the House of Representatives for introducing and scheduling marking up for the Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act (H.R. 2587). The law would ensure that job creators can choose where and how to make workforce investments without concern that the National Labor Relations Board will continue the anti-employer activism being witnessed in the infamous Boeing case.
Specifically, CDW thanked the bill’s sponsors, Rep. John Kline, Rep. Tim Scott, Rep. Phil Roe, Rep. Joe Wilson, and Rep. Trey Gowdy, and urged all Capitol Hill legislators to pass the legislation. Further, many leading employer associations which comprise CDW’s wide-ranging membership have indicated that, given the opportunity, they will key-vote the Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act.
