Employers Vow To Appeal Judge’s NLRB Decree

Today, the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace issued a statement in response to a DC federal court’s decision upholding a National Labor Relations Board rule. The rule, which goes into effect April 30, will force approximately 6 million workplaces to post notices that amount to advertisements for joining a union. While the court held the Board could not automatically impose sanctions against every employer that fails post the notice, it said the agency could impose sanctions on a case-by-case basis.

“The Board simply does not have authority to require this poster and the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace will appeal this decision and continue to vigorously pursue a fair, full, and correct legal remedy,” said Coalition Chairman Geoffrey Burr.
