CDW Applauds Trump Administration Nominees to NLRB Board and Urges Confirmation

Washington, D.C. – Today, the Trump Administration’s nominees for the National Labor Relations Board, William Emanuel and Marvin Kaplan will go before the full U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP).  In advance of the hearing, the Coalition for a Democratic Workplace released the following statement from Chair Kristen Swearingen:

“President Trump stands firm in his commitment to the American people with the nomination of these highly-qualified members to the NLRB.  Kaplan and Emanuel promise to restore balance to an agency whose recent and radical decisions and disregard for long standing precedent have injected uncertainty into labor relations to the detriment of employees, employers and the economy.

“We are confident, both nominees will interpret the National Labor Relations Act in a manner that is fair to workers, unions and employers. The nominations are another signal that this Administration will make reforms that will restore jobs to the American people.

“The CDW supports the nomination of William Emanuel and Marvin Kaplan to the NLRB and urges the Senate to move quickly confirm these nominees.”
